This bone awl is reproduced from an original in a private collection.  It has a cross hatched end making it handy for pushing through a stubborn needle.  Thicker then our other bone awl this awl can make small to large sized holes in light to heavy fabric and will work well as a button stick for Dorset buttons. Measures almost 3 1/2 inches long.
