100% Wool 60 inches wide"Kersey" was a cheap twilled and lightly fulled wool much in demand especially among lower classes for its ability to shed water, keep out the cold and wear well. Noted to be used greatly in overcoats, uniforms and other utilitarian garments it was also used in home furnishings and draperies. "Mixt" suggested colors that were mixed together to create the cloth and was common in many different types of wool cloth including broadcloth, kersey, cassimere and sagathey (sagathee) such as these from our Research which are very close in color to our kersey. Our wool is a beautiful varied cinnamon/rust mixed with specks of red, gold & brown, medium weight with a nice drape. It will work well for petticoats, bedgowns, jackets for men and women, coats, cloaks, breeches, waistcoats, heavy winter gowns, pelisses, spencers, children's wear and winter furnishings.
