Worsted “stuff” was a term that referred to a wide variety of worsted textiles produced originally in Norwich and later in York.  These lightweight goods were characterized by their tightly twisted yarn, fineness of weave and smooth finish.  This made them well suited to Men’s and Lady’s garments.  The grades of stuff varied from coarse to fine and could be plain or twill woven.  Indigo was by far one of the most common colors found in textiles.  It's popularity soared with the import of Indigo from the colonies to England in the mid 18thc.  Worn by all social classes it was dyed from the palest to the darkest blue and maintained a color fastness superior to most other dyes of the period Our fabric is light weight, twill woven and is well suited to Lady’s gowns and petticoats, Men’s waistcoats, summer coats,  linings, aprons, mitts and other accessories as well as children’s gowns.
